Changelog

How Quaerent evolves. Every change to how we measure hiring silence is documented here.

  1. April 24, 2026

    Launch

Quaerent is live. Track your job applications, see how companies treat candidates, and get AI-powered guidance on your situation. Free for candidates, always.

    Ghost Rate V2

Ghost rate now specifically measures silence after human contact — when a recruiter or interviewer engages with you, then disappears. Applications that never received any response are tracked separately as silence rate. This gives a more honest picture of both metrics.

  3. April 22, 2026

    Expanded outcome categories

We now track more types of hiring outcomes to better reflect what actually happens during a job search. Rejections at different stages are measured separately, because an automated rejection email is not the same experience as being turned down after three interviews.

  4. April 17, 2026

    Transparency Score update

The transparency score now better reflects how companies treat candidates at different stages. Post-interview silence weighs more heavily than post-application delays, because the candidate has invested significantly more time and effort at that point.

  5. April 14, 2026

    Ghost rate tiers

Ghost rate is now shown in four levels instead of a single number: lower, elevated, high, and critical. Because even a small amount of ghosting affects real people, we never label any level as “good.”

    Project started

Quaerent began as a simple idea: what if hiring silence had a score? 28 days later, here we are.
